Reykjavík Residence
Located in the heart of Reykjavík, this project reimagines a historic urban building as a refined and welcoming hospitality space.
Inside, the interiors are built around warm tones, layered textures, and carefully selected materials. Natural stone surfaces, woven wall finishes, brass lighting, and dark timber elements create a tactile and cohesive palette throughout the spaces. Curved niches, ribbed wall panels, and handcrafted details introduce depth and rhythm while maintaining a sense of simplicity.
Public areas are designed to feel both elegant and comfortable, with soft lighting and warm colors creating an inviting setting for guests to relax. Custom furniture, leather seating, and subtle decorative objects contribute to an atmosphere that feels personal rather than formal.
The project connects the interior experience to the surrounding city. Views across Reykjavík’s rooftops and toward Hallgrímskirkja become part of the spatial narrative, grounding the hotel within its urban context.
